VA Loan Calculator is an independent site. We read every message and reply as soon as we can.
What we can help with
- A number that looks wrong. If a payment, funding fee or affordability result does not match what you expected, tell us and we will check it.
- A calculator that does not work. Tell us the page, your device and browser, and what happened when you pressed the button.
- How a result is calculated. How we calculate lists every formula and official figure, and we are happy to answer follow-up questions.
- Tool suggestions. Tell us what you were trying to work out and could not find a calculator for.
- Business or press questions about the site.
What to include
- For a wrong number: the page, the values you entered and the result you expected.
- For a technical problem: your device, browser and a short description of what you saw.
- For a suggestion: the situation you are trying to plan for.
How we handle corrections
When you report a possible mistake, we check the calculation against the standard amortization formula and the funding fee schedule published on VA.gov. If we find an error we fix it, and if the cause is a change in VA rates we also update the "last checked" date shown on the affected pages.
What we cannot do
We are not a lender or a mortgage broker, so we cannot give loan quotes, confirm your eligibility, review your credit or give personal financial advice. For those, talk to a VA-approved lender. You can also read the VA's own guide to VA home loans or request your Certificate of Eligibility.
Your privacy
The numbers you type into our calculators never leave your browser. If you email us, we use your address only to reply to you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
